01 / The Problem
The Operational & Engineering Challenge
Restaurant operations can become fragmented when cashier ordering, kitchen communication, product availability, payments, invoice generation, returns and shift reporting are handled independently. The system needed to provide a fast interface suitable for counter staff while also maintaining structured order lifecycle management, bilingual operation, tax calculations and administrative control.
02 / The Solution
Architecture & System Implementation
Engineered Nur Foodes, a modular browser-based POS application. The POS, payment, receipt, reports, administration, and printer logic are separated into dedicated modules. The system integrates the complete workflow from Catalog to Cart, Order to Kitchen, and Payment to VAT Invoice and Reports, providing a unified operational platform.
03 / Platform Showcase

10 / Data Layer
Database Architecture & Relational Schema
Engineered as a highly responsive client-side application utilizing persistent browser storage to maintain restaurant operational state across sessions without a remote server dependency.
Key Relational Entities
- menu items: Product catalog with prices, categories, and bilingual descriptions
- categories: Menu categorization for filtering and UI structure
- orders: Transactional records encompassing order items, notes, and payment status
- payments: Financial ledger tracking subtotal, discounts, VAT, and tendered cash
- inventory: Product availability states synchronizing across the POS interface
- settings: Application configuration including active language, currency, and tax rates
Schema Design Principles
- Centralized application state (store.js) for POS operational consistency
- Persistent browser storage ensuring reload resilience and offline capability
- Separate application modules consuming shared state for UI synchronization
11 / System Flow
API Architecture & Data Flow Lifecycle
A modular browser application where a shared store coordinates POS, payment, receipt, reporting, and administrative modules, allowing each workflow to remain separated while sharing consistent restaurant operational state.
